The Dongfeng Tianjin VR 6-cylinder, 245-horsepower, 20-cubic-meter water tanker is a benchmark model in the heavy-duty, large-capacity category, featuring a “small three-axle” (6×2) configuration. It is primarily designed for large-scale municipal cleaning, dust suppression at major construction sites, and extensive irrigation for landscaping—making it a mainstream, high-value-for-money choice in the domestic large-tonnage water tanker market.
The vehicle is powered by a Dongfeng Cummins B6.2NS6B245 6-cylinder diesel engine (meeting China VI emission standards). With a 6.2L displacement, it delivers a maximum output of 245 horsepower and a peak torque of 950 N·m (available between 1200 and 1800 rpm). This engine excels in providing high torque at low RPMs, ensuring consistent power for climbing gradients while fully loaded or during prolonged, continuous operation. It is paired with a Fast 8-speed or 10-speed manual transmission and equipped with 10 tires, providing a load-bearing capacity fully capable of handling the weight of a 20-cubic-meter water load.
